If we want peace, we must prepare for 'Peace not War' and this is the theme of keynote speaker Kate Hudson.
Kate Hudson is former Chair, then General Secretary of Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament
She is touring the UK to talk about the latest nuclear developments at Lakenheath and Marham, the role of our government and arms companies in war crimes and genocide, perpetrated from our region.
Kate Hudson said:
'Our government's militarisation policies are putting Britain in danger and posing an existential threat to the rest of the world. It is time to call the government out.'
Kate will be joined on a panel by Councillor Amanda Fox, and Emeritus Professor Lee Marsden
Amanda said:
'We are not totally helpless and can mobilise for action against nuclear bombers and weapons at Lakenheath and Marham airbases in East Anglia'
The meeting is hosted by Lakenheath Alliance for Peace, currently 63 organisations opposed to
the plan – imposed by NATO and the USA – to spend 5% of GDP on weapons and war
the purchase of 12 F35A nuclear capable bombers from the USA
the expansion of weapons and military production
military encroachment on our schools and universities
The event is free and all are welcome
