Re-opening of the Friends Meeting House in Norwich (Upper Goat Lane) from August 2021
Sundays’ Meetings for Worship will take place at Goat Lane every Sunday at 10:45 am.
Wednesday’s Meeting for Worship will be every Wednesday at lunchtime, except the second Wednesday in the month, when Meeting will be by Zoom.
Following national guidance and guidance from Area Meeting Trustees, Elders & Overseers have agreed the following arrangements to take effect:
We no longer take temperatures on arrival at the Meeting House, but continue to keep a record of those attending. Use of hand-sanitiser is still encouraged.
On arrival Friends are asked to go directly into the Large Meeting House (LMH) to avoid congestion in the Long Room.
Friends are encouraged to keep sensible distances from one another.
Face coverings become optional in the LMH during Meetings, but with the recommendation that Friends continue to use them where possible, to help those who are more vulnerable to feel safer.
Socialising after the Meeting will be encouraged in the garden, or spaced as much as possible in the Small Meeting House or Long Room.
Tea/coffee will be provided after Meetings once details have been sorted out. Access to the kitchen will be limited to two Friends, on a rota, preparing hot drinks. Friends are free to bring their own mugs.
We look forward to seeing as many Friends as feel able to attend at the Meeting House.
For those who do not yet feel sufficiently safe to attend: a parallel Zoom Meeting for Worship will take place on the fourth Sunday of each month.
