Starting 6 Nov. Quaker Quest 2023: A series of five Monday evenings for those curious about Quakers
Quaker Quest aims to help you find out about the Quaker way of life. We have found that people enquiring about us want to experience Quaker worship, hear why being a Quaker matters to us, talk to each other and us about it and get an idea what sort of people we are.
So starting on Monday 6 November 2023, for five consecutive Monday evenings from 7 – 9pm, we are opening our doors to those who would like to know more about who we are, what we believe and how we are perhaps different from other religious organisations you may have encountered.
Each week we will explore a different aspect of Quaker life:
Monday 6th November - What it means to be a Quaker
Monday 13th November - Why Quakers promote peace and equality
Monday 20th November - Why Quakers value simplicity and sustainability
Monday 27th November - How Quakers interpret God
Monday 3rd December - Shared supper and conversation
Quakers don’t evangelise, nor do we press people to attend our meetings. But many who have attended Quaker Quest do find themselves drawn to our style of silent worship.
To find out more, simply turn up on one or all of the Monday evenings. Or if you’d rather find out a little more first, contact Toni Berry who would be pleased to answer any questions you have. You can reach her by email at ophuls2@gmail.com
